Stop wasting my screen real estate!

Quick rant: I really dislike websites that want to determine how wide my screen should be. Suppose I’ve got a 24” widescreen, what do you think I’d like more: actually using this screen, or having an 800 pixel-wide column in the middle surrounded by nice gray? Hint: if I wanted the latter I would go read some whiny livejournal blog. And I dislike those.

Update: It appears that even LJ doesn’t do this tall tapestry thing anymore. Good riddance!

Random bikers during this year&#8217;s amateur tour version of Liège-Bastogne-Liège through the village of Lorcé. I really enjoyed myself during the 235km of this kind of roads. Yes, this is a not-so-subtile hint that I rode 235km by bike through the Ardennes this weekend.
